Yes…. I am Jihadiphobic
Following the atrocities of 19th December 2016, social media was filled with hate messages to all things Islam, due to Islamic extremists attacks. A Russian helicopter was shot down by ISIS in Syria, the Russian ambassador, Andrei Karlov was assassinated in Turkey, an Afghan migrant ploughed through a busy Christmas market in Berlin and three people were shot at an Islamic centre in Zurich. All of which was enough to send any right minded person into a frenzy of fear and it should not be of many surprises to anyone the kind of responses that were blasted out over social media about these atrocities but isn’t that exactly the kind of responses the extremists were actually hoping for when they planned these attacks. I personally do not believe for one moment that reacting in the way they want us to, is ever going to actually do very much to help the situation and feel it is time to rethink how we can actually combat this rather than inadvertently helping Islamic Extremists grow in numbers. To do this we have to step outside the box and look at what it is they are trying to achieve and then work together against that.
Firstly, Let me point out that I am an Atheist that thinks religion has caused far more harm than good over the centuries, however, I also believe that some people need religion for their own sense of purpose and because of that I do respect them in their own beliefs, so I am far from being Anti-religion. I certainly will not blame any religion for atrocities caused in the name of it, especially when it is clear that some have twisted a religion to their own evil agenda. Imagine for a moment there was a cult of rapists who decided to fulfil their own sick practice in the name of God, spouting to others that God believes rape is acceptable because he himself impregnated Mary without her consent. I can imagine your shock at the very idea of that hypothetical scenario but this is basically what Islam Extremists have done with Islam. They have twisted it to meet the needs of their own agenda and the only way we will ever successfully combat that, is to prove this is what they are doing. Hating all 1.6 billion Muslims in the world certainly, will not achieve anything other than helping the extremists grow in numbers. Wouldn’t it make far more sense to address the real problems and combat them rather than reacting in the way they obviously want us to react, which will only ever help them in their cause, not us?
It is clear to me the Western media is certainly not on our side in this war against terrorism, they have been shoving the term ‘Islamophobia’ down everyone’s throats for a long time now, I don’t think it was coincidental that this was done before hordes of young, fit fighting men came to Europe from Muslim countries. Islamophobia is A Fear of Islam and that word was specifically designed to ensure that everyone blamed Islam. Had they wanted to point the finger of blame in the right direction they would have called it what it really is, Jihadiphobia. People are not frightened of a religion, they are frightened of being slaughtered by Jihadists (Islamic Extremists) but of course, if they had promoted the term Jihadiphobia from day one that would not have suited the agenda and would have only resulted in Muslim and Non-Muslim working together against a common enemy. If the realisation that our own media is not on our side doesn’t worry you, it seriously should.
Isn’t it time that we started thinking about how to combat this clear and obvious threat to Western society in a way that we can actually achieve a result, rather than simply follow along like sheep to the slaughter. Blaming and hating Islam is only really throwing petrol on a fire in an attempt to put it out and that is never, ever going to work. I am not saying that everyone should suddenly become a Muslim and bow down to Islam but what we really need to do is attack the real problem instead of inadvertently making that problem worse and the best way to ever fight an ideology is to make it irrelevant. The problem is not Islam, it is Islamic extremism and I believe that even the extremists are being manipulated for a much larger agenda but unless we attack Islamic extremism directly, we will never be able to beat it and I have 7 grandchildren that would really appreciate it if we did win this war on terror.
I am certainly not Islamophobic, yet I will openly admit to anyone that I am Jihadiphobic and if we all do the same it will go a long way to combating the real threat we face! Following this Islamophobia idea is only ever going to help Islamic extremism to grow and give them the means to indoctrinate others follow their own evil ways. By blaming Islam instead of Jihadism we will only ever succeed in helping those against us, grow in numbers. Think about that and let’s start turning this around for our own self-preservation! Every time I see an Anti-Islam post on social media I imagine some hate preacher thinking to himself, I shall use that to indoctrinate others by showing them how much the kaffirs hate them and their religion.
Whenever I have discussed this with people on social media it generally ends up with me receiving lots of abuse from various sources, simply because I believe blaming Islam actually works against our aim of finding a real solution, I have been called an Islam Apologist, a bigot and numerous other names by people that simply do not have the intelligence to work out what it is I am trying to say, so I will spell it out very clearly.
I do honestly believe that blaming Islam, even if people do truly believe that Islam is the cause, does not actually achieve anything other than making the problem we are trying to address even worse. I see it as tarring all with the same brush regardless of if they happen to be extremists or not and that can only ever create more extremists as far as I am concerned. Think about it for a moment, if you use a method that increases rather than decreases the problem you are trying to address then that is not the best method to be using…. My suggestion of eradicating the term Islamophobia and replacing it with Jihadiphobia is not in anyway a form of appeasement or acceptance of Islam (those suggesting so, really do not know me very well), it is simply because I do not believe that the approach of blaming Islam is actually working in our favour. However, I do believe that by directing our attention to the actual problem of Jihadism here in the UK, we can then isolate that problem and deal with it. We can then weed out the root of the problem and those who are found to want Islamic rule here in Britain can be dealt with accordingly. That to me seems far more progressive than anything else I am seeing at the moment from others. Isn’t sorting out the problem here in Britain what we all really want?
I believe that here in the UK we must draw the lines very clearly to protect our inherent religion of Christianity and then deal appropriately with anything that crosses those lines. I also believe that things that are not compatible with our way of life, such as Sharia law, wearing of the Burka, Niqab, etc should be banned and those who want that way of life should be helped to move to countries that have it, then we are all happy. I certainly do not believe that attacking a religion followed by 1.6 billion people in the world is ever going to help us find a solution. There is no denying that there are parts of Islam that promote violence to non-Muslims but there is a far greater threat to our way of life, that is political correctness and appeasement within our authorities that do not enforce the law as they should in fear of being branded racist and that need to be addressed fully on because we can only have one rule of law and that must be enforced equally to all.
I have posed this simple question to a lot of people, including people like Anne Marie Waters and none so far have been able to answer the question, they usually go off on a different tangent altogether and end up calling me an Islam Apologist, or other nice names. So I will post the question here and hope that someone can give an answer it, just in case I am actually missing something.
How does attacking Islam achieve anything other than helping radical extremism grow?
For those who cannot answer it or see the sense in what I have written then do please get on board with DDIP Demos Direct Initiative and help make a party of the people, where common sense prevails.
Update: 01/11/2017:
Well, this blog has certainly stirred up a lot of a debate, some understanding what it is I am trying to convey and others seeing it as some form of appeasement or being soft on Islam. The reality is though, Islamification is a takeover by stealth and deceit and the radicals know if they were to promote the worst parts of the Quran themselves, they would never succeed in doing so. However, it seems they have managed to get those who are most against them to promote it for them. I have seen so many that are deemed to be Anti-Islam today reciting more verses of the Quran than they could do with the Bible and they attack me by saying I don’t understand and how I should read the Quran. Sorry but that is exactly what the Islamists want me and everyone else to do, read and promote their holy book and to me that makes very little sense at all. Doing exactly what they want you to do is not the best method of defeating them. Whether you say good things or bad things about the Quran, talking about it will only ever promote it and I personally do not think it is a book that needs promoting here in Britain. I would much rather put it in a box and ignore its existence, in a hope of making it irrelevant in the fight against Islamification here in Britain.
